Alan Paine Radebaugh began his current body of abstract work, Fragments, in 1999. These organic paintings come from sojourns into the deserts and mountains of North America. In 2001, during a residency in the Canadian rockies, he gathered not only images but also rocks, sand, and other organic matter with which to make his pigments.
